The Athena Social is held each year in March. Each year, a raffle is held to support a local philanthropy, and the winners are presented at the social. JAAPA also presents a "book" scholarship to a Millsaps Panhellenic woman.

Bi-annually, the Athena Greek Woman of the Year Award is are presented to one or more distinguished Greek women. The selection process and criteria for judging will be presented by the Athena Awards Co-Chairpersons at the January meeting. Each sorority may then nominate a designee for the Athena Greek Woman of the Year.

The Athena Award Winners will be selected by a panel made up of J.A.A.P.A. Officers.
